  WHO are we?

                 Good Shepherd Sisters who live a contemplative life.
                          - we are called to follow Jesus the Good Shepherd…
                          - we are called to unite with the whole world in fervent                              supplication of prayer and communion with God.

WHERE do we come from?

From a profound desire from the heart of Saint Mary Euphrasia:

                So that Sisters devoted to contemplative prayer,
                through their union with God, might support the
                apostolic work of the Sisters directly involved
                in the ministry. It was with this inspiration that in Angers, France,
                on August 28, 1831, St. Mary Euphrasia, the one who called herself
                "a daughter of the Church" founded our order,
                so that God might be revealed in each person…

                              "Stay here, and watch with me."

WHAT is our experience? A LIFE of:
	Prayer: our intimate communion with God, draws us to a profound knowledge of divine love. We find God’s presence in the heart of the world. In the pain of God’s people and in their desirefor good. We intercede for them with the incessant prayer of Jesus to the Father.
	Work: giving of ourselves in the joy of fraternal service. Work makes us unit with those who suffer and struggle…
	Solitude: silence and solitude draws us to the Presence of God. The life of prayer allows us to live in deep solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the world.
	In a Community: the expression of our mutual love in community unite us as Contemplative Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Accepting our differences in fraternal love, creates deep communion, in a community of faith and hope. Our community life is based on the Gospel values, the kingdom of God.

We live the same Spirituality and
Charism of the Apostolic Sisters.
The Charism of MERCY that springs from the
infinite tenderness of the Heart of Jesus and Mary, is the legacy left by Saint John Eudes to his religious family.

Enguaging in the mission of the Good Shepherd, we strive to turn always towards the Father, like sunflowers that turn all day toward the sun to nourish themselves.
