We are community of four Sisters who support one another in living out the mission of Jesus the Good Shpeherd.

'As culture bearers' of the Good Shepherd Charism, we strive to be a continuous presence of Compassion, reconciliation and Zeal in order to nuture in Mary Mound staff a partnership in Good shepherd Mission'

       We are also enguaged in other ministries;
                  Pastoral visit with the elderly and Sick
                     Parish Work
                        Pastoral Monistry with the Filipino community
                           Vocation Promotion Work
                                 Lay Associates; The Sisters accompany the associates, who                                  share the mission, the lasting legacy of St. mary Euphrasia                                  Pelletier, the foundress of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd.

We are a community with four sisters who support one another in living the mission of Jesus the Good Shepherd. We are enguaged in many different ministries. One of the main ministries is to offer service of prayer and Good Shepherd presence to the "Chisholm Youth services" in Halifax.

Some of the other ministries are the involvement in the Parish activities and also in the Archdiocesan council.

Offerring hospitality, Caring for the poor and needy

Sharing the spirituality and Legacy of Saint Mary Euphrasia with the Lay Associates of the Good Shepherd.

Ministering to oneanother in community.

All our minstries are offered to people through the community.
So on the first day of the each year as a mark of our togetherness and assuring of our support to one another we re-mission each other in a small ceromony.

We are a community of three sisters living in Weverley, Nova Scotia.
We witness to the value of Religious Life lived in community.
Ministering to one another, offering hospitality and being a service of Good Shepherd presence in the neighbourhood are some of our ministries.

      We remember in our prayer local issues and the needs of the world.
      We promote vocations through our Parish Vocation Committee, which was       initiated by one of our community members.

   Means of promoting vocations are:
          Encourraging parisherners to respond generously if one of their children/grand           children is called by God to become a priest, Decan or a Religious.
          By the distribution of a monthly prayer calendar reminding the parishnerers to           pray foe the priests, decans and religious in the Diocese.

In Vancouver, we are four Sisters from a variety of ethnic backgrounds living in   community. Our mission is reconciliation, thus we are involved in a variety of     services and advocacy ministries, collaborating with parishes, other religious       congregations and community agencies.

        The sisters in collaboration with MOSAIC, a community settlement agency           spearheads the SCION Project. Thus we are involved with children and             adolescents under the age of 19 who are outside their country of origin without               parents or legal guardians; included are those seeking asylum, children               trafficked or exploited who may be undocumented and living on the margins               of society. Regardless of their status, they are first, children in need of               protection. This also requires us to be involved in the “anti human               trafficking” groups.

           One Sister responds to needs in the Vietnamese community, including Rite of           Christian Initiation for Adults, Cursillo Movement. She is also part of a Couples         Group and a Women’s Group, responding needs especially to families with their        children dealing with integration issues.

                        Being bearers of reconciliation in Pastoral Care Ministry with those                       who will soon be united with God in a long term care residence. In this                      ministry we train pastoral visitors. This is a rewarding and wonderful                     experience of God’s people… We are also bearers of God’s compassion                      and mercy in federal and provincial correctional institutions bringing The                        invitation to be reconciled with ‘self’, ‘God’, and ‘neighbour’.

                  Occasionally, hospitality is provided for a few days when this need arise                     for those in transition.

            We are all members of the Vancouver Sisters’ Association and actively       involved in the Vocation Team. For women searching to respond to God’s call, a “Come and See Program” is a regular event in our convent.
