   From the very beginning of the Congregation, St. Mary Euphrasia, the  foundress was able to gather loyal associates around her, they contributed to the
     work and carried the spirit and the mission of Jesus the Good Shepherd.

In Canada Associates were founded in 1984. Today they live the same mission, the mission of  reconciliation and mercy.

  

"Being an associate means belonging to a living, dynamic spiritual family whose members make their commitment vibrant and open to others. They live their commitment in their own milieu."

it is an association of people united in prayer;
   
It is an association of people willing to learn and live the spirituality of the hearts of Jesus and Mary, in the spirit of St John Eudes and St Mary Euphrasia.

      The Associates are opened to live the same mission of the Sisters     of the Good Shepherd, that is to bring reconciliation, unity,
  tenderness, healing presence and mercy for those who are wounded and are in need. .

   Their commitment as associates is renewed annually and they
  meet monthly for spiritual renewal and in support of one another.

    In Canada, there are about two hundred members, uniting with the      Sisters to follow in the footsteps of Saint Mary Euphrasia Pelletier,        which is the path of Jesus the Good Shepherd.

        The state of "associate member" in the Congregation of Our
          Lady of charity of the Good Shepherd is offered to single or             married people who, while remaining in their status in life, wish to               deepen their Christian commitment by sharing the spirit and                  Charism of the Congregation, within the church.
